ABOUT US AND YOU

We are about people helping people.  And when it comes to our computer technology,

the people factor is often neglected.  This is what we aim to improve.

The first step in learning any new skill is to relax.  As long as you are worried, tense, concerned about success, you are thinking about yourself - not about the skill you want to learn.

STEP ONE

Set aside a minimum of three 45 - minute periods a week for learning your new computer skills.  For each of the 45 - minute periods, start by going to the most comfortable chair in your home.  ( Avoid your bed; the idea is to relax, not to go to sleep.)     Relax your muscles until your body is completely limp.  Some people find it easier to relax bit by bit - concentrating on the legs first, then the arms, the shoulders, the neck, and so on.  Others are able to let everything go limp at the same time.  Either way, you should soon feel relaxed, and your deeper slower breathing pattern will help you to stay relaxed.

STEP TWO

After 15 or 20 minutes, get up sit in front of your computer and go through some steps you want to learn.  If you find it too hard, maybe you are trying too many steps.  Cut the number down ( simplify ).

There is no rush - and remember - slower is often faster.  Repeat several times.  Try to understand and attach some sense to the steps, not to memorize.
