Getting to know your PC is a beginner course, applicable to Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10. Most of the computers are running Windows 10, but you are welcome to bring your own laptop.
Topics covered include: Graphical User Interface, the START screen, Files, Folders, Shortcuts, Copy, Move, Delete of Files & Folders.
Intro to the INTERNET and Email.
PC CARE is an intermediate course, applicable to Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10.
However, some of the topics especially on virus protection and Internet browser security can be AND SHOULD BE! applied to the MAC OS as well.
Registry, start-up files, fragmentation, restore points, back-ups, safe mode boot-up, image restore - are all important issues.
This is a very challenging topic. We have to learn, learn & learn.
Will learn about local and Web-based emails including GMail, Outlook, Yahoo, Mail.com and Thunderbird.
Setting up Groups, mailing attachments, exporting and importing Contacts (address books) are some of the topics covered.
Learning E-mail. Seems simple, once you know the basics, but it can be deceptive.
This is an intermediate course focused on using pictures taken with your camera and other devices and integrating them to create special posters, greeting cards and slide shows.
